A Decade of Tails and Trails: Our 10th Anniversary Ten years. That’s 120 months, 521 weeks, and—by our calculations—roughly a million wagging tails.

On June 1st, 2026, Karen Ann’s Paws for Thought officially hits the double-digit milestone. Looking back to 2016, we started with little more than a deep love for dogs and a vision to provide the kind of care we’d want for our own pets. Today, we aren’t just a business; we’re a community of four-legged friends and the humans who love them.

Celebrating with Purpose

While ten years is a massive achievement, we wanted our celebration to mean more than just party hats and extra treats. This anniversary, we are turning our gratitude into action.

We are proud to announce that we are fundraising for Cancer Research UK.

This cause is deeply personal to us. We are dedicated to raising these funds in loving memory of two incredible individuals we lost to cancer. They were part of the heart of our journey, and most importantly, they shared the exact same passion that drives this business: an unconditional, borderline-obsessive love for dogs.

We know they would have been right here with us, cheering on every pup that walks through our doors. By supporting life-saving research, we hope to honour their legacy and help ensure more families (and their pets) get more time together.

How You Can Join In

We want to make a real dent in our fundraising goal, and we can’t do it without our Paws for Thought family. Here is how we’re marking the big day:

  • The Anniversary Fundraiser: We will be hosting a Charity open day at Wildwood Pets Stamford on Saturday 30th May. With a raffle, Photoshoots booth etc

    ..

  • Donation Station: We’ll have a dedicated donation link:

  • Share a Memory: We’d love to see your favourite photos from the last decade! Tag us and use the hashtag #Karenannspawsforthought

A Heartfelt Thank You

To our clients: thank you for trusting us with your furry family members. You’ve seen us grow, supported us through the hurdles, and made the last ten years the most rewarding adventure of our lives.

We’ve always said that dogs have a way of finding the good in every day.

As we look toward the next ten years, we promise to keep doing the same—celebrating the joy of dogs while fighting for a cause that touches us all.

Here’s to ten years of paws, and many more to come.

"Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole." — Roger Caras
