Puppy classes and dog training :

These terms and conditions are set in place to govern the provision of Puppy class and 
Dog training provided by Karen-Ann's Paws for Thoughts (hereby referred to as ‘Us’ or
‘We’ or ‘Karen-Ann’) to the client. When registering and booking your attending any classes or training provided by Karen-Ann you agree to be bound by these following terms and conditions.
 

General information:

Dog training one to one sessions; puppy classes (starting in July 2025 and some weekend Classes),we also here at Karen-Ann's, we provide a full range of pet services ensuring that we provide the best care to your pets running from Mondays to Fridays with Weekends for pet sitting. These services include; walking dog; home visits; pet sitting; where we offer to care for your pet whenever you cannot provide these yourself.

​Your pet is ensured to receive the best care, time and attention for their individual 
needs, as they are a part of your family!

If and when there is a time where we would be unable to provide any one of the above services, we will provide as much notice as possible. However, the only exception of this would be when there are unforeseeable circumstances, such as illness.
This notice will be given as appropriate as soon as possible through phone, text or email 
as appropriate, and all training will be rescheduled to a time and date that is suitable for you, *Depending on availability.

Our staff have undergone DWSA training,canine first aid training, and are all DBS checked, All Staff Have completed their 2 Day and are undergoing their 4 day and Assessment IMDT training in addition to this - (Chris - Dog Training College - Dog trainer)- (Karen Ann - Easy Peasy Puppy Instructor) and we are fully insured to provide you with our services.

Training sessions:

Before training sessions commence, and once you have booked your chosen training you will receive a phone consultation with us to ensure that we know everything there is to know about your dog and to find which plan will suit your needs most.

If there is suddenly a change in the dogs circumstances regarding issues related to their health/aggression or any other condition that could affect the training we are providing, the owner must inform Karen-Ann of these changes immediately.

If your dog has any allergies or intolerances to food or treats please let us know in the 
consultation Phone call as our training methods are reward-based. Please be advised to use treats and rewards provided by Karen-Ann however if you wish you may bring your own.

In the hour before the dog attends their training session, the owner must ensure that 
the dog has not eaten to make sure all food has been digested before the proposed 
activities/travel/exercise. Failure to follow this advise may result in bloat or Gastric Dilation Volvulus.​

Puppy classes:

All puppies 8 to 16 weeks old registered (booked) must have all up-to-date vaccinations before attending the classes such as DHPP, rabies and including kennel cough. They must also have regular flea and worm treatments.

If your puppy is ill at the time of your class, please refrain from attending class to best 
avoid spreading the illness.
All puppies attending must be 8+ weeks 
Owners are generally expected to be involved in training exercises and some classes 
may offer support on how to work with your puppy outside of class
When signing up for these classes, you are aware of all risks involved in attending the 
puppy classes and releases Karen-Ann from liability in case of injury to themselves or 
their pet.

Booking and pricing: 

A booking on the website pre-booking of classes and or one-one training sessions on available times on the booking schedule and full payment has been made and received by Karen-Ann. 

An additional fee for travel time over 25 minutes from Oakham will be charged at £12.50 *each way, for each appointment and will be separately invoiced prior to appointment *and must be paid before appointment.

Any cancellation mid-course will not be refunded, but can be banked for any future 
training.

 

At any point Prices may change at the discretion of Karen Ann's - Paws for thought, but will only change for the following reasons - increases in inflation, fuel,venue charges,equipment,insurances ect..

Any changes to prices we will inform you as soon as possible give suitable and reasonable time to inform you of any such changes

Using Karen Ann’s services constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions, 
which may change at any point and we will ensure the latest version is available to you
