About
Karen Anns was founded in 2016 as a part-time business and quickly developed a significant customer base providing dog walking services in Corby. The addition of "Paws for thought" came about after a moment of reflection, that her dream job had gone full time, and had expanded into the surrounding villages and part of Rutland.
Since 2022 our service area has increased further, into and around the towns and villages of the Corby, Oakham and Stamford area.
Since moving to Rutland, Karen Ann’s - Paws for thought has grown into a lovely Team of dog walkers, a fully qualified dog trainer, and a professsional pet writer. We all care passionately about your pets' welfare and wellbeing and are really thrilled to be looking after all your four-legged loved ones.

Karen Ann
As a child I was always with my beloved Sophie (German Shepherd), Sally (Springer Spaniel) and Brandy (King Charles Spaniel), and Tom (my ginger cat) followed me everywhere!
Every new pet I encounter is an adventure and a joy, and I couldn't wish for a better job!

Whilst working in the care sector Karen Ann spent her spare time creating embroidery art, which was predominantly animal themed, particularly dogs! This was primarily a hobby-business and Karen Ann’s was born in 2016.
In 2019, after 18 years also working full time, she decided it was time to start a new career path, and with her pure love of animals and passion for the great outdoors she channelled her efforts into a lifetime career devoted to animal care, and hasn't looked back!
