About
Whilst working in the care sector Karen Ann spent her spare time creating embroidery art, which was predominantly animal themed, particularly dogs! This was primarily a hobby-business and Karen Ann’s was born in 2016.
In 2019, after 18 years also working full time, she decided it was time to start a new career path, and with her pure love of animals and passion for the great outdoors she channelled her efforts into a lifetime career devoted to animal care, and hasn't looked back!
So, after she had completed all her training courses Karen Ann’s - Paws for Thought started in February 2020.
Initially only in the Corby area, we now provide our services in and around the towns and villages within the triangle from Corby to Oakham and Stamford.
Since moving to Rutland, and for the last two years Karen Ann’s has grown and grown into a Team of dog walkers, who care passionately about your pet’s welfare and wellbeing.

The Team:
Chris
Chris grew up in Oldham, Lancashire but settled in Rutland after finishing several tours like Johnny in the RAF. For the past twenty years he worked as an electrical field service engineer working around the UK and offshore. He is a keen motorcyclist and fitness enthusiast, taking part in 10K races in Manchester and Whissendine. Having owned three dogs in the past found it difficult to replace them when they were no longer around. Taking care of others was his ideal job and recently joined the team.

Gail
Gail grew up in Rutland and then later moved to Northamptonshire, so is familiar with our dog walking areas.
After many years of working in offices and health clinics she has opted for a change. As an animal lover she is looking forward to joining the Team.
Gail spends her free time with her rescue dog, Brian, who follows her everywhere, and she is very proud of her grown up children; a son at Winchester University studying Accountancy, and a daughter studying her A-levels and she is hoping to work with animals too.
At weekends Gail likes to relax with her family and have fun playing music together.

Johnny
Johnny was born and raised in Manchester but has now plumped for a quieter (and less rainy) life here in the East Midlands.
He spent his working life in the military and more latterly as a postie.
He spends his spare time writing, reading and playing his guitar-when not walking his rescue dog, Bob.

Karen Ann
As a child I was always with my beloved Sophie (German Shepherd), Sally (Springer Spaniel) and Brandy (King Charles Spaniel), and Tom (my ginger cat) followed me everywhere!
Every new pet I encounter is an adventure and a joy, and I couldn't wish for a better job!
THIS IS A GREAT PLACE FOR YOUR TAGLINE.
